Job Description

The Graphic Artist position designs and produces still graphics for Live, News Programming. This role involves communication with producers, graphic supervisors, and other design team members to fulfill a range of requests. The ideal candidate must be a strong multi-tasker who can prioritize multiple daily news requests while producing high-quality design under tight deadlines, maintaining strict accuracy and visual clarity that meets technical standards.

Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited art school with emphasis in graphic design, motion design, or related field (illustration, photography, industrial design, visual communications) or equivalent work experience.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well with other teams under pressure.
  • Willingness to work in a diverse, collaborative environment and assist other designers at various levels.
  • Excellent computer, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expert level in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Design/produce still graphics and other design elements as assigned by Graphics Supervisors.
  • Evaluate and manage time, resources, and deadlines to produce desired products both individually and as part of a team.
  • Collaborate with Graphics Supervisors, co-workers, and show production staff to determine needs and facilitate execution of projects.
  • Acquire and utilize knowledge of equipment operation, production techniques, and engineering requirements.
  • Proactively make effective use of downtime, helping co-workers or learning/enhancing skills as time allows.
