Job Description

Coastal Creative Communications, LLC is a boutique full-suite digital marketing agency rooted in strategy, storytelling, and relationship-building. We specialize in lead generation, content creation, brand visibility, and execution across industries. We are seeking a Freelance Digital Marketing Specialist for a contract role that offers flexible hours, primarily remote work, and occasional on-site content sessions for local Charleston clients.

The role requires a creative and systems-minded individual who loves storytelling through content and knows how to build successful marketing campaigns using GoHighLevel.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging social media content for clients, including Reels, photo assets, captions, and basic editing.
• Attend on-site shoots (Charleston, SC area) to capture content for client brands.
• Build and schedule posts using GoHighLevel or similar social scheduling tools.
• Create and send email campaigns and newsletters via GoHighLevel.
• Support in building simple automation workflows (welcome sequences, lead magnets, event flows).
• Occasionally assist with creative briefs, content calendars, and campaign prep.
• Communicate with the team to stay aligned on strategy and client brand voice.

Requirements

• Experience managing social media content for brands (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook primarily).
• Comfortable filming and capturing content on location (Must have iPhone 16 or camera).
• Proficient in GoHighLevel.
• Experience building email marketing campaigns.
• Strong understanding of brand tone, storytelling, and aesthetic consistency.
• Bonus: Light graphic design skills (Canva) and interest in hospitality, wellness & lifestyle brands.
• Reliable communication and ability to self-manage timelines.

Contract Details

• Freelance/Contractor role — paid per project or monthly retainer depending on client load.
• Flexible schedule with weekly check-ins.
• Most work is remote, must be available for local content shoots as needed.
• Room to grow with the agency and take on more accounts.

Location

• Remote Friendly, but must be based in Charleston, SC or nearby for occasional on-site client content days.
