Job Description

Founded in 2005, Lumos works with governments and partners worldwide to transform care systems and prevent family separation. Over the next decade, we aim to help 500,000 children return to family-based care and prevent 10 million children from being separated from their families. Position: Contract: 6–12 months (with potential extension)

Location: UK - Must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Lumos Foundation is looking for an experienced Freelance Designer & Brand Guardian to bring our newly refreshed brand to life across a global organisation working to ensure every child grows up in a safe and loving family. This is a hands-on freelance role combining high-quality design delivery with brand guardianship at an exciting moment of organisational change and growth.

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

• A senior-level designer with strong experience across digital, UI, and brand systems.
• Confidence working as a brand guardian within complex, multi-stakeholder organisations.
• Excellent understanding of accessibility, compliance, and user-centred design.
• Experience working with charities, NGOs, or purpose-driven organisations is a strong advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple requests while balancing strategic and operational priorities.
