Job Description
The Graphic Designer I is a visual storyteller on Under Armour’s Global Creative Team, motivated by the power of sport and focused on athletes, attitude, authenticity, and digital engagement. The role involves supporting Global Retail and bringing the best conceptual and visual expression of UA’s brand to life for the Focused Performer demographic. This individual will collaborate with marketers, art directors, and writers to develop storytelling executions that strengthen the brand’s emotional connection with consumers.
Requirements
- Ability to interpret and influence creative briefs to create consumer-focused communications strategies.
- Demonstrated versatility in design across various media (graphics, photography, retail/digital).
- Understanding of design systems and digital templates.
- Commitment to being an advocate for the brand and an expert on products.
- Knowledge of design trends, art, sport, culture, and email design best practices.
- Ability to maintain strong working relationships with partners.
- Strategic thinking, task management, and deliver high-quality work consistently.
- Willingness to go the extra mile to meet commitments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating relevant design work.
- Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and presentation software.
- Rapid visualization skills, including hand sketching and digital wireframes.
- Innovative aesthetic and taste level.
- Experience in an agile, fast-paced environment, incorporating learnings into design.
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.
- Leadership, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Mac platforms.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a design-related field or extensive design-related experience.
- 2-4+ years of graphic or digital design experience.
- Experience designing for digital channels, especially email, and e-commerce is a strong plus.
- Experience working collaboratively with a team and senior leadership.
Workplace Location
- Location: Must reside within commuting distance from Baltimore, MD office.
- Work Schedule: Hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation
Base salary ranges from $63,555.60 to $87,388.95 USD. Initial placement within this range is based on the individual’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is part of a competitive Total Rewards package aimed at helping teammates succeed and advance in their careers.
