We are currently looking for a Freelance Assistant Designer for our client, an established apparel company specializing in men’s and women’s categories. This role involves supporting the design lifecycle for men’s bottoms, providing an opportunity to contribute to seasonal product development.

Requirements

• Required Experience/Skills:
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of men’s bottoms.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Preferred Experience/Skills:
• PLM experience is a plus.
• Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Design team in all aspects of the design process, from concept through final seasonal deliveries.
• Create technical flats, assist with patternmaking/draping, and participate in model fittings.
• Produce hand sketches and translate them into CADs.
• Assist with seasonal concept research and development.
• Create tech packs and help maintain line sheets.
• Support material development and color sourcing.
• Attend fit sessions and take detailed notes on revisions, fit comments, and updates.
• Rate: $25/hr - $30/hr
