Sr. Web & UI Designer — Remote Contract
Dakotomy is looking for a Senior Web & UI Designer to join our team on a contract basis. We’re looking for someone highly detail-oriented who can take approved concepts and turn them into polished, production-ready web and product experiences.

Role Details

  • Fully remote
  • 16–24 hours/week depending on project load
  • EST–PST overlap required
  • Focus: High-Fidelity UI Design, Design Systems, Prototypes & Dev-Ready Handoff

What You’ll Do

  • Create high-fidelity web and product designs across desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems and component libraries
  • Create detailed interactive prototypes and account for different UI states and edge cases
  • Prepare organized, developer-ready Figma files with clear specifications
  • Collaborate directly with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately
  • Maintain a high level of consistency across layouts, spacing, typography, interactions, and responsive behavior

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of web or product design experience
  • Strong portfolio of finished/shipped digital products
  • Advanced Figma skills, including Auto Layout, Components, Variants, Dev Mode and Prototyping
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and design systems
  • UX-minded and comfortable thinking through interactions, states, and edge cases
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and how HTML structure relates to prototypes in Figma/Framer
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with developers
  • Agency, VC, or tech startup experience is a plus

Bonus

  • Ability to build a basic HTML/CSS website
  • Motion/animation design
  • Framer or Webflow experience
  • Experience working with VC firms or technology companies

You’ll work with a small, senior creative team serving VC firms, startups, and growing technology companies. We value craftsmanship, precision, and strong execution from concept through development.
