    paper NALAMOTEKA

Derived from two words: Menala and Moteka.
Menala, commonly understood as the process of tuning, is combined with moteka (from the Sundanese word motekar), which means to create with ingenuity and creativity.
Nalamoteka is a space for exploration—an effort to delve into and reinterpret the diverse characteristics of pentatonic scales found in the musical traditions of the Indonesian archipelago, through the medium of Sundanese kacapi. Here, conventional boundaries are challenged, and new possibilities are continuously sought beyond the mainstream approaches to pentatonic composition.
It is a sonic journey between tradition and innovation by Dedy Satya Hadianda.

paper Project Lead and Music Director Wanoja Sadayana: Gelar Geunjleung Puspa Karima

Served as the principal leader and decision maker for a large scale cultural concert advancing women’s roles in Sundanese traditional arts. Directed the overall vision and execution of the project, overseeing concept development, artistic direction, production strategy, and full operational delivery from initial planning through final performance.

Led and coordinated more than 70 contributors across artistic and production teams, while managing collaborations with multiple institutional partners including Universitas Padjadjaran. The concert engaged an audience of approximately 750 attendees, reflecting strong public impact and cultural resonance.

Designed and curated 12 forms of Sundanese traditional arts, including practices historically considered inappropriate or restricted for women performers. Established an artistic framework that combined traditional elements such as kacapi with contemporary interpretation, ensuring both cultural integrity and progressive representation.

Positioned the project as a significant cultural milestone that challenged entrenched patriarchal structures within traditional arts. Through this work, expanded access, legitimacy, and visibility for women artists, contributing to broader efforts toward gender equality in cultural practice.

paper Podium Esslingen, Esslingen, Germany 2024

I appeared on the Podium Esslingen Germany in 2024 with Tarawangsawelas as a kacapi player, contributing to a performance that brought the delicate and meditative sounds of Sundanese traditional music to an international audience. Sharing the stage with the ensemble was a meaningful experience, as it allowed me to represent cultural heritage through the intricate melodies of the kacapi. The performance in Esslingen not only highlighted the richness of Indonesian musical traditions but also created a space for cross-cultural appreciation, where audiences could connect with the subtle textures and emotional depth of our music.
