Graphic Designer in Raleigh, NC, USA

FatCat Strategies is a full-service marketing agency looking for freelancers to partner with. We’re a small team, but we’re dedicated to meeting the needs of our clients, which sometimes means looking to outside resources to help when there’s an overflow of production work.

This is not a full-time or part-time position, this is for a 1099 contractor.

• We’d love to find someone close to the Triangle area here in North Carolina, but we’re open anyone who can work efficiently and effectively.
• You would most likely work remotely, but if you’re local and would like to work out of our office occasionally, we’re happy to talk about that.
• Being able to communicate well is a must, and we’d like someone who is open to communication vis emails, phone call and video calls (we work normal 9:00am-5:00pm EST business hours, and would need someone who can be available for meetings/calls/emails during those hours.)

The details
Our clients have a lot of design needs. On a given day we may be creating some or all of the following:

• Header images and graphics for blog posts
• Graphics and layout for email newsletters
• Graphics, icon sets, infographics, and layout updates for websites
• Graphics for social media posts & profiles
• Web display ads (occasionally print ads)
• Graphics and layout for print newsletters, annual reports, buyers guides, etc.

We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, and also a self-starter who is comfortable diving into a project with little-to-no guidance.

Successful candidates will

• Design within specific brand guidelines for a wide range of industries and clients
• Be up-to-date on current trends and technologies in the design field
• Meet deadlines on schedule
• Communicate with a point of contact clearly, consistently, and within a timely fashion
• Proofread their content before submitting

Required

• Skilled in the Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• Experience with social media, web design, branding, and print projects
• Be available for phone/video calls and by email during EST business hours
  Preferred, but not required:
• Live in the Triangle, NC area and be available for in-person meetings

Compensation
In most cases, you would be compensated on a per-project basis. But we are open to discussing an hourly fee as well. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
