Graphic Designer in San Diego, CA, USA

We are seeking an experienced freelance graphic designer/artist who will be working directly with the creative team on art and layouts for a diverse range of custom products from apparel to gifts and souvenir.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced freelance graphic designer. In this versatile role, you will participate in various projects and activities in support of the creative team. You will gain exposure to a wide variety of art styles, products, and packaging. You may be required to work on multiple, concurrent tasks.

This position is responsible for creating and producing art for dimensional products and packaging you would find in a gift store. The position is NOT layout for print/web.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Meet with Art Team for creative briefs and direction.
• Graphic design, illustration and layout.
• Work part time out of our San Diego office. Remote work may follow.
• Provide work in production-ready format established at project assignment.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of solid work experience, preferably within design and/or consumer product development.
• Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must have general offset/digital printing prep experience.
