Summary:

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team focused on designing innovative and visually appealing school supplies. As a Graphic Designer for school supplies, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging and educational designs that resonate with students, teachers, and parents. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our school supply products to life.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and Design: Generate design concepts for various school supply products, including notebooks, stationery, backpacks, and other related items.
• Visual Identity: Develop and maintain a consistent visual identity for our brand across all products, ensuring they align with our mission and target audience.
• Artwork Creation: Create eye-catching illustrations, graphics, and artwork that appeal to students and educators while balancing aesthetics and functionality.
• Packaging Design: Design packaging materials that are not only visually appealing but also informative, user-friendly, and eco-friendly when possible.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the product development team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet product requirements and market trends.
• Market Research: Stay updated on current design trends in the education and school supplies industry to inform your design decisions.
• File Management: Maintain organized design files, including digital assets and project documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in the school supplies or educational sector.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong creative and artistic skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Understanding of printing processes and production techniques.
• Passion for education and a commitment to creating meaningful designs for students and educators.

Details:

• Job will be a 4 week temporary position, with opportunity to extend to full time.
• Monday - Thursday 9am to 5:30 pm (Friday and weekends off).
• In person in our NYC midtown Manhattan office.

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
