Job Description

CNN Digital’s data and graphics team is seeking an interdisciplinary journalist to contribute to innovative and impactful journalism focusing on data graphics and interactives. The journalist will be part of a global team and collaborate with various desks to report on important current issues across different beats, including breaking news, policy, business, climate, health, and inequity.

Requirements

• Experience in reporting, data visualization, and creative storytelling
• Ability to pitch and develop own stories as well as collaborate with others
• Proficiency in creating graphics and visuals with a focus on data analysis
• Strong communication skills and a reader-first perspective
• Comfortable working collaboratively in teams
• Experience with tools like Illustrator, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, R, Python, SQL, etc.
• Proven newsroom experience or data/visualization experience

Hybrid Working

This role offers a hybrid work model involving remote and in-office work, subject to company policy and agreement with the Line Manager. The company reserves the right to adjust this arrangement based on business needs.
