Job Description

This is a remote position for a Remote Typography Specialist based in the United States only. We are seeking an expert in type design, font development, and layout precision. This role is ideal for a designer who understands the power of typography in branding, marketing, and digital media. You will work on diverse projects, crafting visually compelling type solutions that enhance readability and brand identity.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine custom typefaces, lettering, and typographic layouts.
• Optimize typography for digital and print applications.
• Develop type hierarchies and font pairings for brand consistency.
• Collaborate with designers and marketing teams to implement typography best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging typography trends and industry innovations.
• Ensure visual harmony, readability, and scalability across all designs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in typography, font creation, or advanced type design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in custom typography and layout.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and font-creation tools (FontLab, Glyphs, Forefront, etc.).
• Deep understanding of kerning, tracking, ligatures, and type composition.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects remotely.
• Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
