Job Description

Material Bank is searching for a digital-first Graphic Designer who is ready to thrive in our dynamic creative environment. This temporary position for about 3 months will collaborate closely with marketing strategy, research, content, and channel distribution teams to build creative assets to support the company’s growth goals. The Designer will work across print, digital, and experiential media, conceptualizing, designing, and producing compelling visual content.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on digital design
• Engaging and impactful online portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and expertise in presentation design
• Expertise in industry standard tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and Microsoft Office (Midjourney experience a plus)
• Proficient technical understanding of After Effects and Premiere Pro
• A strong ability in retouching
• Experience working with brand guidelines and maintaining visual consistency across various designs
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and accuracy
• Experience using collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and Notion

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and produce compelling visual content across print, digital, and physical mediums
• Strong understanding of following branded guidelines, layout, design principles, color theory, and hierarchy
• Uphold excellence in typography, graphic design, illustration, packaging, motion, and other design elements
• Deliver design solutions for unstructured problems that involve many dependencies and cross-functional areas
• Clearly communicate rationale behind design choices and applications as needed
• Revise projects based on collaborative feedback and contribute to design reviews
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate with project teams on schedules, requirements, goals, and assignments
• Collaborate in updating and managing internal databases for design, photography, and video
• Passionate about discovering new trends, tools, and technology in graphic design and UI/UX
