Job Description

Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of. The Senior Graphics Artist position will design and produce still and animated graphic content for Live News and Feature Programming. This role involves communicating with producers, graphic supervisors, and other design team members to support a range of graphics requests. The Senior Graphics Artist will be an expert multi-tasker capable of supporting daily news requests while working on quick turn animations, package development, and longer-term branding initiatives. The position requires the production of high-quality designs under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy, visual clarity, and meeting technical standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited art school with emphasis in graphic design, motion design, or related field (illustration, photography, industrial design, visual communications) or equivalent work experience.
• Must possess excellent audio skills working with music, sound design, and voice track.
• Exhibits exceptional branding skills and is able to develop branding while adhering to defined style guides.
• Displays outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure and with diverse teams.
• Excellent computer, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
• Expert level at Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
• Cinema 4D knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of world news and current events.
• Flexible schedule: Ability to work extended hours, including overnight hours and weekends as needed.
• Reel/work examples must be submitted, highlighting 2-3 case studies and specific contributions for each.

Responsibilities

• Create graphics to support Design network programming with a focus on animated content.
• Develop animations for branded programming that effectively support key editorial content goals in a dynamic, visually compelling manner.
• Translate complex ideas into easily understandable visual presentations from verbal scripts.
• Produce high-quality designs for news content while applying strong editorial thinking.
• Manage time and resources effectively to create a diverse scope of graphics.
• Quickly determine graphic needs during breaking news and ensure all requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Actively contribute to a positive and creative atmosphere within the department.
